On Nov. 11, Edmonson County Highschool, ECHS, had their first Clash of Classes. Students participated in activities such as Knockout, Musical Chairs, Tug of War, and Dodgeball. Each grade had to take part with a certain number of students. In regards to making it fair, Johnathan Williams, principal of ECHS, had both male and female contestants. The class with the most earned points will receive a reward.
Chloe Noble, a sophomore participant in dodgeball, said, “It was interesting to see students enjoy activities, and have school spirit. This is something we should do more often.” Throughout the crowd, students were cheering for their grades with enthusiasm.
Zachary Kirk, a senior participant in knockout, said, “It felt like I had something to look forward to. Students in the school were excited to compete against each other. I wish we did it when I was a sophomore.”

The Clash of Classes was started by Mr. Williams and will be a monthly event. As of this month, the junior class holds the lead, but that is subject to change with each Clash of Classes.
